The city’s Department of Tourism and Tourism said activities including flea markets, sports parties and other promotional events were on hold.
However, visitors are still welcome to watch the festival outdoor decorations and artistic light shows at the Civic Plaza in Banqiao city, where the Christmas Festival is held until January 3, 2021.
This announcement comes after the Central Office of Epidemic Control confirmed the same day of Taiwan’s first domestic COVID-19 case since April 12.
